Think I'm going to listen a few of his songs right now in his memory.

That sucks. One of my favorite recording artists of all-time.

When the night comes from the Innocent Man soundtrack is one of his most underrated songs.

RIP. Basically a remake artist, but a damn good one. I pretty much prefer his verision over the original in every case.

Damn

I was fortunate to see him in concert once on a tour with Stevie Ray Vaughan. He put on one hell of a show.

Surprised to know that he was still releasing albums. The last time I heard anything new of his was probably the early 90's.

70 years old. For some reason I thought he was older... like at least 80.

Re: RIP Joe Cocker (1944 - 2014)

Wasn't a big fan during his heyday (Mad Dogs & Englishmen, etc.)...you know, the spazzy persona parodied by Belushi...but "re-discovered" him a decade or so later & really, really liked his takes on classic songs.

I saw Woodstock (the movie, not the actual event...I was a bit young at the time) when it came out & was entertained by his performance but got tired of "Little Help" through it being played to death on the radio. Glad he kept recording & left behind a solid musical legacy.

I love the placement of his song "You Are So Beautiful" in the movie "Carlito's Way". Just perfect for that particular scene with Al Pacino and his girl.

That's the worst edited clip I've ever seen!

Joe. Liked his stuff. A great remake artist.
Saw him once at Wembley Stadium opening for Rod Stewart in the early 90s and he was great.

Just a random thing, but the first time I ever heard of Joe Cocker was when I encountered this on an 8-track tape. And, because of the groovy hippie writing, I thought his name was "Joe Cooker."

I saw him a handful of years ago with Steve Miller. Even that late in life, he was still fantastic.

Maybe now we'll finally get a CD release of this album.
