Looks like a few people liked it. My 9 year old daughter is already obsessed.

I like her songs Begin Again, Back to December, We Will Never Ever Come Back Together and Style, hahhahaha:banana:

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

Style is Taylor's best song.

I was very hopeful for her after 1989 and Reputation but with this ME! song she's clearly back to teeny bopper schmaltz.

But she's hot as hell though.

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

I like Style too and Ready for This, Delicate, and Bad Blood.

Reputation was not not a bad album and how come she only released 3 singles from that album?

Mabuse 05-20-19 09:36 PM

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

It was a bad album. As has been pointed out it was a contract fulfillment album. Those usually suck. And the lack of singles is likewise her not giving a fuck.

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

She did do a Netflix concert for the Reputation tour and she had several songs going after Kanye and her critics so it could not be a total waste.

Dancing with our Hands Tied, King of My Heart, Dress, So It Goes, and Call It What You Want were good songs.

She's on the decline, and her promise to get more political will only further it.

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

Me is a big hit.

The decline is not going to happen like it did for Katy Perry.

I hate having to defend her but no, she's not.

I'm curious what you're basing this decline on? I'm not a fan but I was curious enough to watch some of her Netflix show.

She is a bigger star now and does not go on talk shows or do a lot of interviews anymore though she appeared on the Voice finale.

She was on "The Graham Norton Show" last night as the musical guest. And her interview on the red couch after her performance was like 5-7 minutes long. Unlike most musical guests on that show. They walk over, the other guests shake their hands, they say one or two words, and they're done. Check out this episode of Graham on YouTube on On Demand. Great show all around. Sophie Turner, Michael Fassbender, Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy were all on promoting "Dark Phoenix". Some funny stories told. But Swift was quite engaging on it.

A new single is out and the new album drops on Aug 23

Target has a deluxe version.

Hope it has the same sound and production as Reputation.

That Me! song, I think it’s called is pretty good. New, slower one, not bad either...

It's as if she is slowly letting fans know she is bisexual …..

Lots of blowback against her from the LGBTQ community regarding her "profiteering" off their platform with her new single.

And on the other side of the political spectrum, I was subjected to Fox News today and saw them do a segment on that video that they called "breathtakingly elitist" and possibly (gasp) making fun of Trump supporters.

If you have both sides mad at you, maybe you did something right (either that or both sides are WAY too thin skinned).

Call me old-fashioned, but I was strangely happy to see an end to the Katy-Taylor feud. :)
