Agree. About 80% of the songs are a slow, tuneless dirge.
I like High By The Beach and Religion, but the rest of the tracks are nearly unlistenable.
My daughter just loves it, though.

Re: Lana Del Rey

I told my GF that the new album came out and she has a copy of "Ultra Violence" and says that one is beyond monotonous.

Re: Lana Del Rey

Albums like this one are why I'm so glad there are now options to listen to the whole albums that don't include purchasing it first. Never need to hear it again. I liked her two older releases.

Re: Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey has announced a new record, the follow-up to 2015’s Honeymoon. It’s called Lust for Life and it’s “coming soon,” according to her Facebook announcement. Below, watch her amazing black-and-white trailer for the record. Thus far, Lana has shared the album’s “Love” (and its video). Recently, an ASCAP listing revealed a new Lana collaboration with the Weeknd, also called “Lust for Life.” Read “Deafheaven, Lana Del Rey, and California Malaise” on the Pitch.

Re: Lana Del Rey

Huh!? I don't see any change in her face. She is only 31 years old. What is it about this latest video where you would think she's had work done?

Re: Lana Del Rey

She is going to do a country album

The singer announced the LP, Lasso, at Billboard’s pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

During the event, Del Rey took the stage to fete producer Jack Antonoff, who is her collaborator on the new album. “If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country,” she told the crowd. “We’re going country. It’s happening. That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years.”

Lasso, out in September, will mark the singer’s 10th studio LP and third in the past four years. Her album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd dropped last March and netted the her five Grammy nods, including Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album. Her song “A&W” is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Alternative Music Performance, while “Candy Necklace” with Jon Batiste is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Re: Lana Del Rey

I kind of ignored her music over the years but she has a better catalog than I expected for a recent pop star.
