I really like the new album a lot.

The new songs are great on that Letterman concert too.

I reiterate my opinion: the best band in America.

Not surprisingly - tracks from the new album sound better live. They opened the St. Louis show w/ the closing track.

They sounded fantastic - aside from Nels' solo on "Impossible Germany". Something was off about it.

I love listening to this line-up perform material from the first few albums. They play the hell out of them.

As for my favorite albums - it is still a toss-up between Summerteeth and A Ghost is Born.

I've been enjoying this, definitely a step up over Wilco (the album) and I'm glad to see Tweedy let Nels do his thing on a few of the tracks, especially the opening cut.

I don't know what the problem is with Wilco (The Album). Do people not like melodic Wilco? I just listened to it and I can't pick a weak song on it.

For me it's just tame to the point of being borderline adult contemporary, and like I mentioned before I thought that Nels Cline was kept on a very short leash to the album's detriment. You and I in particular is pretty schmaltzy and You Never Know kind of reminds me of Jeff Lynne produced George Harrison and not in a good way.

On another note, did you guys hear about that at a recent show Nels rocked Duane Allman's gold Les Paul that he played on Layla?

I'm diggin' this new Wilco album. It's their best album since YHF. Just finished listening to it for the third time in about 6 days. Capitol City was my favorite song, but now it might be Sunloathe. I love albums like this, I hear something new and different upon each listen.

That poor Les Paul. I actually feel sorry for Nels Cline's Jazzmaster - that thing takes a beating.

Wilco is so dependable. Really enjoying the new album and appreciate that Jeff so often isn't just going through the motions. Crazy about the opening track, "Art Of Almost".
