I agree with all of this. I didn't really care for the first single at all, but I like it when listening to the record from start to finish.

Silly question, but are there any deals out there for the digital download? I lucked out and downloaded "Viva" for free because of a promotion that Rhapsody was running at that time. (Or at least I think it was Rhapsody.) I know that ~$10 isn't much and I'm sure I will get my money's worth at that price, but the cheap bastard inside me thought it would be worth asking before I pony up. Being an unpaid intern sucks.
EDIT: Just noticed that the MP3 dropped to $8 on Amazon. I can live with that.

I agree with your agreement. After my first couple of listens I was a little uncertain, but I'm really like the whole thing now. Some of these songs are going to be great seeing/hearing live.

It hasn't really hooked me like Viva did, which I thought was phenomenal. I'm underwhelmed like I was with X & Y, although that one did grow on me some once I revisited it several months later.

There's some good songs here but overall I'm not that into this album. Charlie Brown is a good song and Every Tear Drop is a Waterfall has grown on me a bit.

I find myself unable to keep any these tunes in my mind when not listening to them. It's like they are instantly forgettable.

This sums it up for me. I keep thinking I like Charlie Brown but cannot for the life of me remember anything about it except when I'm listening to it. Same goes for most of the album.

They wanted to copy U2 and No Line on the Horizon and make a album with only 2-3 good songs.

Coldplay is unveiling the inspiration behind its Mylo Xyloto album.
The first of a six-part comic series, conceived and written by the band with Oscar-nominated writer and director Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda), will be released at this week's San Diego Comic-Con gathering.
Osborne explains that Mylo Xyloto is "a young Silencer on the front lines of a war against sound and color in the world of Silencia. Mylo discovers that the enemy he's been trained to hate his whole life might not be the enemy after all."
The first issue of Mylo Xyloto will be available at the San Diego Convention Center on Thursday.
