Does Britney Spears have issues with singing live?
Or is it her act to get up on stage and fake sing, and charge a fuckton of money. Well see for your self

I would think an artist whos been doin this for well over 12 years now could at least sing for a 1 minute part |
Re: Does Britney Spears have issues with singing live?
I would figure for someone who's been doing it for 12 years, people would have gotten over it by now and expect it.

Maybe you should start listening to music for grown-ups and you wouldn't have these concerns. ;)

Re: Does Britney Spears have issues with singing live?
She lip syncs because she can't sing worth a shit.
It wouldn't be wise to go up and sound awful if she actually did sing. |
Re: Does Britney Spears have issues with singing live?
Britney is still hot :)

Credit to her for making it as she has with that horrible sounding voice.

Re: Does Britney Spears have issues with singing live?
If I were her lawyer, I'd say few people can sing live well and dance. I've heard her sing live a few times years ago and while it wasn't great, she could sort of pull it off. The clip above makes it seem like she's completely tone deaf. As her lawyer again, performers can't always hear themselves so that may explain it. I'm not a big fan of Britney. She can do pop and she can perform.

Re: Does Britney Spears have issues with singing live?
The more accurate thread title would be "Does Britney Spears have issues singing" and the answer is yes.

Re: Does Britney Spears have issues with singing live?
Lady Gaga is far more talented and interesting than Britney Spears ever was I think, even if you don't dig her style of music. And she can actually sing without help from a machine.

It's like commercial manufactured pop music is getting worse and worse when you didn't think that was even possible. I think I long for the days of N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, whatever else over this Justin Bieber shit.

Justin Bieber aside, I think commercialized pop music is better now that it ever was. It's one of the few genres that actually got better. Commercialized rock music on the other hand is absolute shit.
every time I see Gaga I just think about Dale Bozzio and Madonna. I'd rather listen to either of them over her. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/1WDly1Oc_P4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Re: Does Britney Spears have issues with singing live?
Although my main music preference is metal (Overkill, Kreator, Slayer, Exodus, etc) and some female singer/songwriter types (Chantal Kreviazuk, Tori Amos, etc), there is still something about Britney Spear's music that I'm drawn to, and I'm quite amazed that she can continue to release big albums at this stage in her career. Her last two or three albums since her breakdown are as strong as anything she has put out.
I'm disappointed that she cannot figure out how to sing live, and that makes the tours she is performing kind of a joke, but she still manages to play huge arenas, so perhaps she doesn't see a need to change. I still considered taking my younger daughter to see Britney, but the nose-bleeder tickets in the 300 level were over $100, and seats in the 100 level were over $300. |
