That's disappointing about the tribute. Some good artists on there. I'll probably still check it out.
They should've also given Marshall Crenshaw an invitation to the party. His cover of "Crying, Waiting, Hoping" (from when he played Buddy Holly in La Bamba) has been my standard for Holly covers since the late '80s:

Slightly off topic, but NoiseTrade has a number of free (or pay what you want) albums/samplers from a good number of artists, including Brandi Carlile, Josh Rouse, The Civil Wars, etc.

I'm not sure if these will be part of July's $5 album selections or not, but I noticed that both Barton Hollow from The Civil Wars and I Am Very Far from Okkervil River dropped to $5 at some point today, just in time to apply the $2 credit.

Thank you SOOO freakin' much for the $2 Amazon code guys...really appreciate the heads up. I was able to get it yesterday and applied it to a download music order I'd been contemplating for over a week.

Re: Amazon MP3 DOTD Thread (May-June)
I read it as the code needed to be used by last night, so I played it safe and used it yesterday. But you're probably right--and if so I would guess that once it's in your account, it's there until you use it.

The credit was use it or lose it by the end date. I had a penny of unused credit remaining and it's gone today.
