True but I didn't want to leave him out just in case there were fans of his reading this topic. I don't think I've heard very much (if any) of his solo recordings. Good to know about McCartney and Harrison though.

Re: John Lennon - Signature Box (10/05/10)

I decided to get the albums I want separately, as I'm not a huge fan of John's solo career. So at Target I picked up Imagine and Double Fantasy Stripped Down ($9.99 each + Free $5 Gift Card). Then went next store to Best Buy to get Plastic Ono Band (and Fistful of Mercy). I'll get Walls and Bridges in the near future. The only thing I wish I could see is Julian's comments from the booklet.

All except Dark Horse and Extra Texture. I also remember hearing Dhani and/or Olivia mention that they want release an Anthology for George's Solo Career, but I think that's been delayed to cross-promote the Scorsese doc that is coming out next year (hopefully the last of the remasters come out then too).

I mentioned it in another thread, but they're releasing a box set of George Harrison's collaborations with Ravi Shankar this month. It says on Amazon that it's an Amazon Exclusive, so I don't imagine there will be all that many pressed up and they're supposed to be individually numbered as well.

Did the dropped bonus tracks on the previous remasters make their way into the boxset or are those just completely removed?

The only bonus tracks that have made it into the box set are the singles (except, strangely, Do The Oz). The rest have not.

Suprmallet, have you listened to John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band from this box yet? I bought the individual disc and noticed that the first few notes or a second or so of "Hold on" is/are missing. I have the 2000 re-master and the notes are indeed intact. Is your copy this way?

Now that you mention it, yes, I am noticing that. Quite curious.

Just got my Lennon Box of Vision. Holy cow, this thing makes the Beatles one look amateurish in comparison. Really high quality. I'll see if I can get pictures up later.

After shipping it was $133.24, and I did find a small coupon to use on it as well.

Even though I have some buyers remorse with how much I spent on the Beatles set and BoV....I want one!
