They played three Sabbath songs, IIRC.....Children of the Grave, Paranoid, and (I think) Iron Man.
Actually, I think DOAM is a better record than Blizzard, though I love both. I like some later stuff, too, but in my opinion, Ozzy has never had another CD where every track was great (since the first two).

A ton of Sabbath -- especially the awesome sludge of Master of Reality and the coke-fueled bombast of Sabotage -- would not have been anywhere near as impressive if they hadn't drop-tuned. Yeah you can play it standard but it just doesn't feel right at all. It's like trying to play Zep's "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" without using Open F. Yeah, you *can* do it, but it never sounds quite right.

It's cool Lemmy. Doom aint for everyone!
I was stuck in the car for 45 minutes driving to and fro today and spent my time listening to Dio era Sabbath. First time in a long time. You'd probably consider it so-deep-it-sounded-alien to you (especially considering it was from the radio city music hall concert in 07 where they really had to downtune because Dio just couldn't hit the high notes anymore) but it sounded awfully good to me!
