Because it's about FRIDAY night. It's funny because she did that song "Friday", you see. Honestly, I didn't recognize her at first. She looks...different in this video.

She looked the same to me, but perhaps also the production will be much higher for this video than her low budget one.

Regarding Katy Perry, I'm not a fan of the concept for this video. I'll take the super hot Katy Perry over the homely outcast version. But the video would have been awesome as a remix mashup with Rebecca Black's version, and have the Glee kids singing instead of acting in the video, I'm sure the Warblers guy could have adding some interesting harmonies.

You guys are reading text. You have no idea how she said it, her tone, if she was laughing and joking. Jeez come on, you're on the Internet, who hasn't experienced a misinterpretation of words because context was missing.

Now that new video with her joining the Marine after a breakup with a boyfriend... that's just silly.
