So, following your logic, it's okay to commit suicide if you're physically suffering, but not emotionally or mentally?

Surely you don't equate mental illness with being "sad about something"?

The people who flippantly call this man a coward for checking out on his own terms, have no idea what it's like to spend your entire adult life paralyzed from the waist down. Sorry but unless I'd experienced a life like that, I'll reserve judgement on a man's decision to end his life.

I believe when a person is in a great deal of physical pain, it makes the suicide a little more understandable. Mental illness doesn't make his actions not selfish. Do you disagree that suicide is selfish?
