What the hell is Hendrix singing? (aka All Along the Watchtower lyrics)
So our work band is doing a cover of Hendrix's cover of All Along the Watchtower for our holiday party.
The original lyrics of the first verse from Dylan go as follows:
As always, any help is appreciated.

The original lyrics of the first verse from Dylan go as follows:
"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."
That last line is not, however, what Hendrix is singing. It sounds something like:"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."
"None will level under mine. Nobody of it is worth."
Anybody have any idea what is that Hendrix is singing or is likely some kind of gibberish like that? Unfortunately, in the one live video I've found of the Hendrix version (the Isle of Wight), he messes up the lyrics. As always, any help is appreciated.

Hendrix is singing over that line.
Most likely it is some form of drug-induced gibberish but I was hoping someone might have heard the story on this before.

None were level on the line, nobody of it is worth. Hey.
Just sing it that way. And don't forget to add "kind of" or "kinda" to the first line, and a second "they" to the third line (after a pause).

Maybe Jimi Hendrix got the lyrics to the song similar to the way Joan Baez "got" the lyrics to The Band's "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down". Specifically, Baez listened to The Band's recording of the song, wrote down what she thought the lyrics were and then sang that. Of course, she misheard and messed up some of the lyrics doing it that way but then, inexplicably (IMO), her version was a bigger hit than The Band's version.
