Her 1996 & 1998 Spanish language albums were both very good albums... Shakira is a lot of things, but she at least she writes, performs, and produces all her own music. Things turned to shit when she decided she wanted to be a "crossover" sensation and started singing in English.

And she was hotter as a brunette. Infinitely.

I don't know if that is true, but acording to the She Wolf Wikipedia page, she did not write any of the songs in the new record. I guess that's why the new single sounds like shit.

I hope she writes the songs on her spanish record that will be released next year.

Shakira as crossover-pop sensation holds no interest for me. None at all. Although I did see her in concert in 2006 in downtown Miami and it was not only a phenomenal show, I have NEVER seen such a mass gathering of drop-dead knockout latin women in my entire life. And I lived in Miami for 32 years.

Shakira as singer/songwriter with a unique voice and vision interests me greatly. Her soulful Spanish-language albums were nothing short of impressive. It pains me to think the artist behind Ladrones and Pies Diescalzos is long gone.


Wearing Shakira's ass for a hat interests me more than anything else in the universe.

just took a few listens to this, and it's pretty damn catchy. seems a little skimpy in the length department, but there aren't any songs that i didn't find getting stuck in my head.

Oh forget it. I don't even listen to her music. But I just got boned just looking at tiny gifs of her... and that's what counts.

At first I thought she was remaking the Megadeth song. This song is horrible, but the video isn't bad as long as you have the audio off.

so I guess the split/speaker hump/shoulder shake is part of a choreographed routine.

It probably shouldn't, but that makes it infinitely less hot to me.
