Saw this on Slickdeals earlier today, and downloaded a couple of albums for my wife (Owl City and Taylor Swift). The Killers album is the only one so far that interests me, but I already own it. MP3s are DRM free and encoded at 320. I am slightly bummed that they don't offer a Mac-compatible download manager like eMusic and Amazon do, but the .zip file downloaded fast enough.

They added Rhianna's brand new "Rated R" album today. Too bad I spent a whopping $4 for it when it came out on Amazon.

actually, that's been there for awhile now... (at least for me)... Feist's album is the new one today.

Oops, I must have missed that yesterday. That Feist album is pretty old -- it came out four years before she got a Grammy Nomination for "Best New Artist".

I like how they say the theme of the advent calender is that the albums are mostly from this year, then they make In Utero the album of the day.

What part of mostly don't you understand ?

Eh, fair enough I suppose. Still a sixteen year old album that's never even been reissued seems out of place on that list. I had sort of assumed that the other non-2009 albums, like Dear Science would be pretty recent albums, not just random old catalog titles.

Nutcracker doesn't seem very difficult to spell.

It doesn't seem to be Russian if that's what your asking. I believe everything is DRM free.
