The Friday 50 Strikes Back!

That's strange, the version of Pet Sounds I own has the whole album in mono and stereo.

Remedy Drive is on there. That is pretty cool. They played a lot of shows in Lincoln while I was in school there.

Argh! I kept waiting for Neko Case's new album to show up on Amazon and gave up when I saw it at Best Buy for $8 last weekend only to have it finally show up as a DOTD. Oh well, it's totally worth the $8 I paid, so anyone who doesn't have it would be silly to not pick it up for $5. Easily one of the best albums I've heard so far this year.

For some reason I didn't own Pet Sounds, so that was a reminder I should have it, along with a nice price. Also, I'd highly recommend the TV on the Radio and Metric $5 albums to anyone that doesn't have them.

So, with the DOTD, you get only the stereo mixes and no bonus tracks, but on the flip side it's only $2.

Pet Sounds is one of the best albums of all time. For anyone that doesn't have it at all you might want to consider it.

Yes, that is the one I have. The first link. Now if only Capitol would release an official Smile sessions release, because the reconstituted Smile (not the Brian Wilson solo version) I've heard puts Pet Sounds to shame.
