Picked it up and listened to it on the way to work. I have nothing to say at the moment, other than I don't hate it.

Are you serious?!?! Is it something anyone can do? Or do you need some sort of special software? Is the software on the disk? Is it fairly easy to do?

I may have to actually spend money on this!

Audacity (its free) would be a good mixer for this.

WOW
LAMB OF GOD's new album, "Wrath", sold around 68,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 2 (behind TAYLOR SWIFT's "Fearless") on The Billboard 200 chart.

LAMB OF GOD's last album, "Sacrament", sold around 63,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release back in August 2006 to land at No. 8. This represented almost double the amount of records sold by its predecessor, "Ashes of the Wake", which registered a first-week tally of 35,000 in September 2004.
Never thought i'd see the day when a metal band probably most haven't really heard of debuting at no.2 on the top 200

It's because overall industry sales levels have decreased to the point that even non-mainstream releases have a good chance of charting (if their fans actually buy the release). To me, the charts have become almost meaningless.

Back to the album, as someone who's not a metal true-believer, I still think it's a pretty damned good release. The songs are more varied than your typical metal album and are fairly well constructed. It's definitely a release for fans of the genre and doesn't take too many chances, though. I could do without the Cookie Monster, but that's a topic for another day. One point: their drummer is tight as hell.

The levels aren't completely bricked like Death Magnetic, but it's definitely "hot".

Clip no longer available due to copyright whiners ... good job suits! Was going to check them out to see if it was something I was into ... now I don't need to bother.

I have see these guys live (3 times) I am 38 and I don't understand why these guys still around?

They sound like 30 other bands with the same type and MO and on stage they just look lost and confused like the crowd that's enjoying them (am I just to old to get?).

But side note Wow to them for reaching #2 !

I've also seen them 3 times and am close to the same age (37) but I couldn't disagree more. I understand how some might have a problem with the vocals, but I think these guys are very good and they bring it live every time.

I think the new one is good as well. I like Ashes and Palaces more, but I would put Wrath right behind those.

Hmm ... I'm all for cookie monster vocals, but this guy's growlies just don't sound right.

I much preferred them on previous albums. Earlier, they sounded incredibly unholy, and different from most other bands who use similar vocals.

I do like the album, though. Not the best, not the worst, and it definitely gets me rocking.

Re: new Lamb of God "Wrath" February 24, 2009

The only time his vocals sound some what weird to me anyways is the higher pitched yell, during the choruses of 'set to fail' and 'in your words' otherwise, it sounds like randy on the other albums. It almost sounds like he/the band wants to try the clean singing that most metalcore bands do, but either randy refused and that was the compromise, or that he simply couldn't.

To be fair, I do like bands who progress in some way, shape or form. If the vocals are part of it this time, so be it.
