Thanks for posting that interview.
Seems like a lot of strong personalities in that band. I don't judge any of them. It's like picking sides in a family feud.
The Gorgeous Frankenstein stuff was a little too much like Black Sabbath for me.
There was a really good Danzig interview a while back. I will see if I can find the link because it was the best I ever read on him. Very fair interview.
If anybody needs a laugh, try to find the picture that was on the original "Cough Cool" single. It's before they got the "Misfits" look down. They look almost like Bon Jovi.

Part of me agrees and part of me says 3/4th's of the original band could have pulled it off. If it's one member and it's not Danzig, it's really not the Misfits. It's kinda like if Ringo Star calling his all star band the Beatles.
Danzig was the lyric and music writer so he was definately the driving force.
Bobby Steele used to play guitar for the Misfits. When he left the band he started the UNDEAD. He still played a few Misfits songs and always put on a good show. Deep down, a lot of people went to the shows just to hear Misfits songs live by somebody in the original band. This was years before the "Misfits" started playing again. Bobby had a different style and you can hear him on some of the live recordings and early demos. He's really good.
