MSP is one of my favorite bands of all time, so it breaks my heart to say that I'm really disappointed in this album so far. It could very well be a collection of the best songs they've ever written, but I won't know because I can't get past the cheesy production and the orchestric sounds they slathered over almost every song. A few of the songs don't have the orchestra and they're better for it, but man, when it's there, which is in most of the songs, it's so over-bearing and tacky that it really kills it for me. It sounds really good when JDB's guitar cuts through the wall of strings, but those instances are few and far in-between.

I very rare physical CD purchase but its so damn good it needed to be done . . .
