I'll vote for Depeche Mode's X1 & X2.
Also, Joy Division's "Heart And Soul" is the box that all others should be judged by!

The Fall: The Complete Peel Sessions 1978 - 2004. Just a tan box but a lot of great stuff in that brown box (much better than The Fall Box Set IMO).

All of the exhaustive Bear Family sets are fantastic- the final word on the artist they cover.

Another vote for this one. There is some wonderful stuff on here, especially his strong duet with Fiona Apple on "Father and Son", which has none of the awkwardness of their previous duet,"Bridge Over Troubled Water", where Apple sounded tentative and lost. Frusciante submits some pretty guitar on "Heart of Gold" as well.

You can say that again. The alt version of "He's Back (the man behind the mask)" is awesome.

My other favs are Sinatra (Capitol and Reprise) and Buffet's boxed set.
