On chest days (for benchpressing and lifting big): lots of Amon Amarth and DevilDriver.
Most other days it's Iron Maiden, Slayer, Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein and Pantera. I usually save the instrumental/mellow stuff for cardio time.

Re: What are your workout songs/playlists?
I LOVE "I Love Rock 'n Roll" ever since I played it in Guitar Hero and they played it while I was on the cycle class and it was awesome. A good song can make a huge difference in exercising.
Anyone know that song that the little red-haired boy is dancing to on that video being passed around Facebook?

Re: What are your workout songs/playlists?
Some songs on my playlist include:
Atomiks (band from Reno) - Pontiac
Bad Religion - I want to Conquer The World, Incomplete
Bloc Party - Banquet
Brave Saint Saturn - Here is the News
Chris Thile - The Believer
mewithoutYou - Nice and Blue (pt 2) - the video for this song consists primarily of the band working out.
Muse - Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria, Assasin, Sunburn
R.E.M. - Accelerate
Embodyment - Yours Truly, Heaven in a Letter Bomb, Binge and Purge
The Faint - Let the Poison Spill, Your Retro Career Melted, I disapear, Birth
Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench, Everlong, I'll Stick Around
The Juliana Theory - To the Tune of 5,000 Screaming Children
Live - Stage
Mars Volta - Interiatic Esp
Cursive - Some Red Handed Slight of Hand, Art is Hard
MuteMath - Chaos, Noticed
I generally look for songs with a quick beat (130-150) more than songs that "pump" me up.

Re: What are your workout songs/playlists?
Working out is my most musically diverse time. As I generally prefer brit-alternative/electronic stuff for driving and casual listening, when I "pump it up" I enjoy more of the rap/high bpm/energetic rock (for obvious reasons..)
Good suggestions here. Heading to the gym after work, gotta give some of 'em a shot!
sidenote: for some very odd reason, I often gravitate toward putting on Bloc Party's "Silent Alarm" album when I workout...strangest thing!
