Rush in concert.
I'm interested to know if anyone else is seeing them on tour this year? I bought tickets for my wife and I and a couple of friends to see them in April in Oklahoma City.

I saw them last year. It was amazing, and the band was tight as usual. The only one who missed their cue was some guy who smoked his joint during Limelight instead of A Passage to Bangkok.

I've seen them a few times in the last 10 years, but not on the last tour. I thought the tour for Feedback was a bit too "new stuff" heavy, but they always put on a great show.

I saw them twice last year and so far I have tix for 1 (Irvine) of the 2 shows in LA. My buddy is waiting for the better seats to be released for the 2nd show at Nokia.
Some here on dvdtalk hated the show because there wasn't enough old stuff and they weren't crazy about the new CD. Personally, I think the show was awesome.

They're advertising that they're changing the set list for the new leg of the tour. I wonder how much new stuff will survive?

Not with the crowds I saw it with.

For some reason for me finding good tickets to this tour is very VERY difficult! I got in a right away for three shows (Oklahoma City, Hershey and Philly) and I got TERRIBLE seats each time, by far the worst seats I have every had for Rush concerts and I 've been seeing them since Presto. I think a lot of the problem is scalpers but those damn ticket auctions on Ticketmaster for the first 4 rows really annoy me.
I keep on hearing people say that some good seats open up the day of the concert... well I'm going to put that theory to the test.
Don't forget the Snakes and Arrows live Album comes out in April.

It can happen. The closer to the show the better the chances because promoters, ticket agencies, and others start dumping tickets. It's not guaranteed, but there's a chance...

We didn't get the best seats but they are located in section 17 in the Ford Center in OKC. I can't believe I paid something like 25 bucks to see them in 96 in West Palm Beach Florida and paid a little over 75 bucks a ticket this time around. After 12 years of not seeign them I am looking forward to this. I bought the Rush R30 dvd set and it is great.

The reasoning was that those songs were redundant as they were on the Rush In Rio DVD that came out shortly before that one.
However, there are quite a few songs (Tom Sawyer for example) that were on both.
I think they later admitted that they fucked up as the feedback was pretty harsh.

If they did end up removing some of the new material, I hope they replace it with other rarities than bringing back Closer to the Heart.
