most everything played on XM Satellite station 26, which would include James Blunt, Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Train, Coldplay... most every artist/band mentioned so far.

Yellowcard - if they just made their bland music and left it at that, I'd just ignore them and be done with it, but they made two videos that really annoyed me. First they do an idiotic remake of Run Lola Run. (WTF?) Then they make a video that takes meaningful political protests of the last 50 years and turns them into a trite statement about his college girlfriend. The final moments of this one make my skin crawl. Oh and most annoying band member besides the lead singer? The violinist. Ugh.

I find them sorta annoying but still enjoy their music overall.![Big Grin](/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
A few recent groups that are too annoying to bear, however:
- Maroon 5 (though their latest single is OK)
- The Fray
- Rob Thomas / Matchbox 20
- Chris Daughty

By the way, all of your choices are so spot on!

Tenacious D - but never been a fan of Jack Black!
But #1 - Phil Collins...man, i just can't stand this guy!!!...it wouldn't be so bad if he had stayed behind the drum kit and spared my ears from his vocals and pathetic songs!!!

It was part of the whole adoration of the music of the 60s and 70s thing that was happening at the time. I mean, fer Crissake, the Pixies, Tribe Called Quest, Ministry, Fishbone, Primus, My Bloody Valentine and Public Enemy were in their prime; grunge was finally on the radio (this was before it started to suck); electronic music like early Orb, Black Dog, Orbital, early prodigy and and early Moby was just starting to happen (this was also before it started to suck) and everyone was still fixated on how cool "No Quarter" sounded stoned. Gah!!!!
It's good to see that I wasn't alone in my opinion.

That's hard to believe. This actually reminds of the Lost episode where Sawyer is singing "Redemption Song" and Michael plays him with a taunt and Sawyer responds back saying: "What? You don't like Bob Marley?" and Michael says: "Man, WHO doesn't like Bob Marley?" Great exchange!
Anyway, obviously no artist is universally loved but I think you're the first person I know who doesn't like his music. And fortunately I don't have to get stoned to appreciate it

Now, I can do without a few crap musicians that like to namecheck Marley as an influence in their music, like Coldplay and Wyclef Jean.

Same here. I didn't like any of her songs then I saw her on vh1 coming out of a club and saying "F**k You" as she was signing autographs to her fans then getting into a car and opening the window and spitting on the people. It was disgusting.
