Okay, that "Earth Intruders" song is fucking awesome! I'm geared up for this album and will be digging it on release day.

Heard 'Earth Intruders' for the first time last night and it made me more excited for a Bjork album than I have been since hearing 'Human Behaviour' back in the day. I wasn't holding my breath after the twin disasters of "Medulla" and the "Drawing Restraint 9" soundtrack [the latter of which I told hold against her too much as it wasn't an album proper, but yikes], but I'm now very, very excited for "Volta". Let's get some fantastic remixes while we're at it, too.

if you want to play it safe, Greatest Hits.

I personally would recommend Post to start with, I just got the DualDisc of that not too long ago. That album almost plays like a "Greatest Hits" album anyways.

well, I think a $120 box set is a little too much for someone who wants to dip his toes into the world of Bjork . Plus, Medulla and Drawing Restraint 9 are both well debated even amongst hardcores

Earth Intruders is already the biggest US single in Bjork's career!!!! Debut # hasn't leaked yet but it's expected to be in the 70's, her "biggest hit" to this point was Big Time Sensuality, which peaked at #88. GO BJORK!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is also her first Hot 100 single in 13 years.

Usually I am not a big chart follower, but it's great to see someone like Bjork come out of nowhere with her biggest success so many years into her career, long after she was established as a "niche" artist

The full version of 'Innocence' is now up on her myspace [as well as clips of 'Earth Intruders', 'Wanderlust', and 'I See Who You Are']. It doesn't have me quite as excited as when I first heard 'Earth Intruders', but it's still very, very good and bodes very well for the album.

There's also a contest to direct the video, so I imagine it will be the second single.

does anyone know if there'll be a 5.1 mix? I just listened to Post in 5.1 for the first time and it's so freaking good that I'm going to go and buy Homogenic and Debut 5.1 tomorrow. The sound improvement is unbelievable

yes, her catalog through Drawing Restraint 9 was remastered onto DualDisc last year, with 5.1 and DTS versions on the DVD side, as well as every music video for said album. I definately plan on getting Debut, Homogenic and Vespertine, already have Post.

I'm not into 5.1 cd's but I loooved Vespertine for it's haunting sound and I know it'll sound awesome in 5.1.

Bjork was amazing on SNL, and Indie 103.1 has been playing Earth Intruders a whole bunch. What an amazing song. I was one of the ones who loved both Medulla and Drawing Restraint 9, but this new album has me so psyched.

And it distresses me to hear that this album cover might be some kind of joke and be replaced with other artwork, because I think it's her best cover since Homogenic.

I am disappointed in her lack of So Cal appearances. I saw her in support of Vespertine, and it was easily one of the best shows I've ever seen. I've been dying to see her again, but I'm not going to go to Coachella to do it.

She's playing at the shoreline up here, and I hate those types of venues so will boycott!

Man, I don't care what venue she plays at. I'd see her in a back alley, if that's where she decided to play.

Yeah I saw her at the Hollywood Bowl on the Vespertine tour and it was in my Top 5 shows I've ever seen list. There was a section of the show where she did a bunch of kickass songs like PLUTO and then a full on fireworks display. It was like she built us up and got us going then the climax was the fireworks. I mean once the Fireworks ended everyone was on their feet and going out of their minds.

I just hope that if I ever see her again she'll leave that Bonnie Prince Billy Guy at home. People were booing his depressing music so bad i started feel bad for him. People were not kind at all.

We must have seen the same show. I remember that exact moment in her show, and the poor reception for Bonnie Prince Billy.

Rolling Stone reviewed the album (3.5 stars) with the goofy artwork. Couldn't help laughing again.

It's amazing artwork! I love it. I want to get a poster sized version and get it framed.
