Re: Who have you seen in concert?

Foo Fighters + Social D + The Joy Formidable at MSG = the best $85 I've spent on live music in a LONG time.

Re: Who have you seen in concert?

This list is from a Facebook thing a couple years back, so I'll try to update it:

The Beach Boys (back in summer '83, before Dennis Wilson died)
Red Rockers
Men at Work
The Fixx
The Police
Duran Duran (2x)
Frankie Goes to Hollywood (before they got big in the US)
Phil Collins
Heart
Bon Jovi
Ratt
The Bolshoi
Love and Rockets
David Bowie
U2
Throwing Muses
R.E.M.
Jane Siberry
Dreams So Real
Pylon (2x)
Dramarama
The Cure (2x)
Living Color (2x, inexplicably)
Rolling Stones

Ice-T & Body Count
Siouxsie & the Banshees
Jane's Addiction
Mazzy Star
Drivin' N' Cryin'
Cocteau Twins (2x)
Front 242
Nine Inch Nails (2x)
Clan of Xymox
Modern English
Ministry
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult (4x)
808 State
Jimmy Buffett (3x; not a fan, but Dad gets great seats)
Village People
Sisters of Mercy\Public Enemy (attended, but only heard - long story)
Bryan Ferry
Frank Sinatra
Dead Can Dance
Natalie Merchant (worst concert ever)
Cecilia Bartoli
Anne Sophie-Mutter
Legendary Pink Dots
Gipsy Kings
The Go-Go's
Roxy Music
Bauhaus

Depeche Mode
ABC
Echo and the Bunnymen
Asobi Seksu (2x)

Sun Airway
Maurice Williams (of "Maurice Williams and The Zodiacs" fame)

I'm sure there are a few I've left out. I've also seen a number of classical musicians of note with the Atlanta Symphony that I can't recall at the moment. Some non-music shows I've seen include:

George Carlin (third row of the pit at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta!)
Jerry Seinfeld
Denis Leary
Frank Caliendo (back when he was still "fresh")
Henry Rollins (spoken word)

Bands I desperately want to see live soon:

Washed Out
The Raveonettes
Best Coast
Dum Dum Girls
Saint Etienne

Re: Who have you seen in concert?

My most recent one; saw Jason and the Scorchers for the first time on New Year's Eve. Absolutely incredible show- if someone could figure out how to harness their energy we wouldn't need oil or solar or anything!

I know it wasn't directed at me, but I saw Lindi with them as well, and that's what prompted me to pick up her CD. She was pretty good live, and I love her first album (a little more so-so on the second). I'd go see her again!
