Thanks for taking one for the team. I sure hope you cosmically triggered that SE!

I am quite addicted to "Baracuda." That's just fantastic. A Fergie hating friend of mine was all, "That sounds great, who is that?" He was not happy when I told him it was Fergie. Good times.

Yea she is like techno or pop and just sings over some hiphop beats or whatever. Whatever the case, she needs to go into a techno/pop/trance career and fast.

Btw, do y'all know that alot of people think she is either a man, or looks like a man, or she is ugly?

She looks hot to me, but that is just my opinion of course.

I liked her somewhat when she was with the Black eyed peas and even through i wasn't crazy about them they at least had a catchy tune every now and then but Fergie by her self...S.U.C.K.S. of course if she likes to do the following to her boyfriend and cast member of my favorite show on friday nights, Las Vegas's Josh Duhamel all the power to her because thats probally the only thing shes good at.
I saw the music video for the song Big Girls Don’t Cry & she looked pretty good actually in the video, of course she mangages to look good in most of the videos she has been.

When I heard the song on Shrek 3, I though it was the original Heart song, I was surprised how close the cover sounded to the original.

As I said over in the Grindhouse thread - screw the zombies, the greatest special effect in Planet Terror was making Fergie look hot. Other than that

She's a man, baby. Yeah!

When someone mentioned Barracuda in this thread, I was really hoping it wasn't Heart's song. Guess I was wrong.

Can't be that much worse than Nickelback/Gretchen Wilson's version...right?

actually the current single "big girls don't cry" has full instruments, and isn't just an r&b beat. Here's hoping that "mary jane's shoes" is the next single (there's a little punk rock sound at the end of hte song)

Just saw her in concert tonight (scored half priced tix) and she put on a hell of a show. She sang the whole time (no syncing!), danced around a lot and it was just a blast. I had seen BEP before, but this show blew them out of the water. She also did a BEP medley and the whole version of 'My Humps'. It was cool to see her in a smaller venue, was very close and she looked really hot in real life. I'm of the camp that thinks 50% of the time she looks good, the other 50% - not at all... a very fun and entertaining show!

I was watching mtv hits at like 2 in the morning, and saw her video with Daddy Yankee, who i can't stand, but damn, she was lookin good there.
I'm surprised she hasn't done a summer tour, and is still surprisingly in the top 20 billboard charts even though the album has been out since sept of last year.

Guess you were one of the lucky ones...

Promoters, Fans Fuming at Fergie

Fergie might be a break-out star with her solo career, but the female Black Eyed Pea might be making some poor business choices if reports of her latest mishaps are true.

Fans bought $75 tickets to see what promoters advertised a four-song set by Fergie at a Chicago club, but according to Radar, the "London Bridge" singer arrived at the venue an hour late, and very likely intoxicated. Radar also reports that Fergie then went on to order several bottles of tequila and only sang a half of a song before getting off of the stage to go party with her entourage.

"This was an appearance," Fergie's reps told Radar, arguing that the singer was merely paid to appear at the club, not perform. "Sometimes she will get on stage and say a few words of 'Glamorous', but we know about every official set and this was not one," they said.

In May, Fergie ran into another appear-versus-perform controversy when TMZ cameras caught her stopping a scheduled performance at a Hamptons club several times to discuss, among other things, her adoration of Taco Bell.

Wow, that's horrible... my show was a real show (tix were 40, but I snagged a pair for that much), backup dancers, costume changes and she did like every song on the album and more, pulling out all the stops... There must have been some serious miscommunication going on for that Chicago 'appearance'....

By the way, Billboard is reporting that Fergie has tied with Paula Abdul for most number of Top 10 Singles from a debut album. Wow, thats pretty amazing.

"The Dutchess" has incredible life in it - look how long its lasted. Its the "Some Hearts" of the pop genre!!

I think the part Im surprised by is that Paula Abdul actually holds the Billboard record for most Top 10 Singles from a debut album. Seriously? Paula Abdul? Fergie needs to beat this fast!!

well, "Here I Come" is the unoffical theme song for the cw (all we need is a video), and "Mary Janes Shoes" just for that little punk rock part at the end (also to see how many people that one part would piss off if made into a single.)

i can def see "Here I come" as a radio single (its a club thumper type beat). Or maybe 'finally' the piano and strings only ballad to end the album.

It took a little longer than I thought but it's finally coming!

"The Dutchess" will be re-released as a Deluxe version May 27th, 2008. It will include 4 additional songs:
"Barracuda" (Heart cover) - 4:39
"Party People" (feat. Nelly) - 4:02
"Clumsy (Soulja Boy Remix)" (feat. Soulja Boy Tell'em) - 3:53
"Labels Or Love" (Sex in the City Theme song) - 3:51

Also has a Connected CD Function: It will come with additional bonus content that the user can access via secure website. The user can only access the content if they have the CD. This will include 6 videos and an exclusive "Making of the Clumsy Video" & "Big Girls Don't Cry remix Ft. Sean Kingston music video" piece. It also comes with an illustration poster of Fergie, a coupon for any Fergie merchandise and a ConnecteD access to videos.

"Pick It Up" (featuring will.i.am) is no longer listed as being on US version but Japanese version instead.

I gave $4.75 for the original version and sold it for $6.25 so I could upgrade.
