Bob Marley remasters: worth it?
I'm trying to close out a couple of BMG accounts mainly because I have a hellacious time trying to find CDs I want. I was just about to purchase a bunch of Marley titles and noticed that they don't seem to be remastered versions on BMG. I'm not an audiophile, but don't want to waste money. Have any of you been able to compare the two versions?

I can't say much about the original release (I don't have any of those), but the mastered versions all sound great. And the bonus tracks are all worthwhile too, so I say avoid the original releases unless you can get them for a ridiculously cheap price.

I recently purchased the Deluxe Edition of "Catch A Fire" and the 2CD "Live at the Roxy". Both are worth full price, but you can always find them on sale at various e-tailers.

I had some freebies to use up on BMG and went ahead and ordered some other artists' remastered discs. I'll look for the updated Marley discs another time. Thanks!
