After listening to the album a few times I've become quite comfortable with it. It flows great and works very well as an album. "City of Delusion" completely blows me away.

Yah, it's pretty good. I still don't like Supermassive Black Hole, but the rest of the album is really solid. I think Origin of Symmetry is still my favorite, but we'll see.

No one else feels the Origin of Symmetry is a bit lopsided? The first couple songs I think are fantastic, but then I feel it falls off. Absolution, I feel, is constant throughout. I haven't listened to their first album.

And here's to hoping that the new album is just as good as the others.

No, I agree...it is a bit lop-sided, but for me the highs are greater than anything on Absolution (which probably is their most consistant album). Showbiz is more lop-sided than Origin of Symmetry, but features my favorite Muse song, "Muscle Museum."

"SBH" jumped from # 46 to # 4 on the British singles charts this week. That's really impressive.

FYI:

the full length album will be released in both standard one disc and limited edition CD+DVD packaging

The bonus disc includes Muse's Glastonbury performance from last year.

That Glastonbury performance from 2004 was just friggin' tight. I still have a tv rip of it on my hard drive. Simply amazing set.

I really hope it's the entire performance.

It looks like the album isn't available for stream anymore----just a couple of the songs. I was planning on giving it a listen tonight. Alas.

The reviews are starting to come in. First up, the ever difficult NME. Smokin' write up.

Wow, that's quite a review. I'm listening to it again right now, and it's a damn fine album. I liked it after the first couple of listens, but it's only getting better. Definitely more epic than anything they've done before.

Pitchfork wasn't nearly as celebratory.

Pitchfork has bashed some of my favorite albums, so that bothers me very little.

Can't wait. After hearing that new song on Sirius, my hopes are higher. Definitely going to pick this up on Tuesday.

Can't get into Supermassive Black Hole at all (in fact I think it's an awful tune), but the 2 tracks that sandwich it are just awesome.

A very good review is up at allmusic.com. I'm excited to give this album a full listen.

Agreed. I don't think this is good as their last disc, but it's about as damn close as you can get. I just totally dig the sound. Like a David Bowe, Radiohead mash-up or something.

Guys - make sure you pick up the Limited Edition version with the Live @ Glastonburry concert on it - it's worth $20 alone - awesome awesome concert! Even though I have the R2 dvd of it, I still got this one just to have an NTSC verson of it.

Best Buy. They had about 1 copy of the LE for every 5 copy of the regular version - you can only tell them apart from the sticker on the front of the CD case.

It's not an exclusive to BB, I also saw it at Tower.

Oh, and Amazon has it for $14 - no-brainer.

It's not a no-brainer if you have no patience. I'd drive myself mad waiting for the album to come in the mail when I know I could just buy it at the local B&M.

I caved and bought the LE for 18.99 at CC.
