New B-52's ?

I just read where the B-52's debuted their new song "Pump" from their forthcoming album on "The L Word" recently. Did anyone see this? Is the song any good? How did they look? I'm surprised and happy they finally have a new album coming out. After 14 years (!)

Howdy Daytripper! Good to see you on the boards!!

Cool news. I didn't know if The B's would ever make another album. Glad they are!

Hopefully it is quite a bit better than Good Stuff, which was kinda weak.

Aren't they down to two members? Did they regroup?

I saw them about 5 years ago and it was Fred, Keith, Kate, and Cindy. I believe Cindy took some time off to have kids.

Interesting. No reason it can't be good. Many people thought they were washed up when "Cosmic Thing" came out. Fred's last solo album was a corker produced by Steve Albini. Rocked like hell.

I caught that L Word episode. Sounded like older B-52's. They sounded good to me!

Damn, sorry I missed this. Hate that show but would have watched just the see the B's.

So, which "older" B-52's did they sound like? Although "Good Stuff" was their last album (and yes, very very weak), they had those two new tracks on their greatest hits album back in '98. "Debbie" being the better one of the two and a GREAT song. If the new music or album sounds like that, I'll be happy. The band has never stopped touring. They play live every year. It'll be good to hear some new material finally.

Liquid Sky (hi!). Thanks for the pics. Cindy Wilson is the main reason I listen to this band. And she's great to watch too.
