The blueprint for almost all rock and blues albums... and I forgot about it until the 8th round. Shame on me!
Weirdly, I had the Sex Pistols as my #9, only because i forgot about that one, too. You're creeping me out, dude!

three, if you count my Echo & The Bunnymen box set.
I guess it doesn't bode well for me that you didn't know that.

I have to admit, I'm completely unfamiliar with probably about 10% of the picks thus far and resorted to Amazon to check dates on a couple, hence the mistakes on X and Pharcyde. I knew the history of SMiLe, but am assuming everyone still considers it a 2004 release. Regardless, I was still surprised how many albums since 2000 have been picked.

Also, get X's live album from 1988 "Live at the Whiskey-a-Go-Go", it's my second favorite live album.

Anyway, even if someone knew nothing on your list, I doubt it's much cause for concern. If you look at everyone's tastes combined, it's pretty expansive and pretty diverse. I'd imagine all of our lists will resonate with at least some voters.

If you haven't heard Son House, check him out too. Amazing amazing Delta blues.
Also, if the demographics here were a bit different, I would've picked Sounds of the South as my box set pick. It's basically a collection of field recordings by Alan Lomax from the early 60s. The sound quality is impeccable.

The release of that material made many men national stars where previously they were local musicians or farmers. Incredible.

I actually haven't heard Sounds of the South, but I knew that Lomax did stuff like that. I ought to check it out.

You should pick up Tambourine if you haven't already done so.
