So who else has all the rest of their picks mapped out? I have a list of 9--it's going to be hard to choose 5 of them, although I'm sure a couple will get picked off by others.

Auto, I think it's safe to say you can take the remaining spot. At this point you've got a pretty severe disadvantage. For matchups, why not do the alphabetically, starting with the 3rd letter in your username? That's about as random as you can have it, I guess.

Sorry. The funny thing is, I probably would have submitted it just right before you first did, but I went to check to see if I spelled "disintegration" correctly before posting.

NEW RULE: Any picks that are spelled incorrectly will be rejected and the player must wait 42 minutes before re-submitting their pick.*

No biggie. I was actually planning on taking New Order all along and had a last second change of mind(mainly because I felt that New Order would last until the next round).

I'm still surprised that about 3 or 4 particular artists have not had any albums picked yet (those I am thinking of shall remain unnamed).

I do and by the looks of my list, I am almost certain I won't make it out of the first round.

I originally jotted a list of around 80 titles and only 18 of them, including the ones I have picked, have been taken.

While I don't think box sets should be eligible [but was too late/lazy to bitch about it], i'm gonna pull out this bad boy...

Thanks.

Obviously, a lot of the older albums I would have picked (Clash, Costello, Beatles, Television, etc.) are long gone but I still might have a few tricks up my sleeve.

Wow. Every one of those picks is a spoiler.

Good job!

It's interesting seeing everyone's picks and taste in music.

So far, I think my round 6 and 7 choices are safe. I think I'm surprised that my 6th pick hasn't been grabbed yet since another album by that artist has already been taken early on.

I unfortunately have mine built into a pivot table sorted by decade and genre. I suck.

Awesome choices. I can now cross Flaming Lips and Pavement off my list for future rounds.

However, what's your reasoning for not going with Luxe & Reduxe?

I'm not really concerned about making it far in the contest. I've been choosing albums based entirely on their personal importance to me. Every one of the albums on my list contributed substantially to my love of music, and my discovery and purchase of each of them subsequently led to the discovery and purchase of at least 50 other albums. Obviously I went for the more popular ones first, but my later choices will reflect this same methodology.
