I just saw Static-X, American Head Charge, Bloodsimple, and 10 Years last weekend. That was a great hard rock show. Bloodsimpe rocked hard! Near the end of Static-X, it started to rain. And Wayne Static said "we're gonna keep playing until our equipment stops working." And the crowd went nuts. So, they were playing "Black and White" while the crew were covering up the speakers with tarp. The strobe effects combined with the rain made it seem like I was in a freakin music video. But I think all the beer I drank also made it seem that way. Anyways, the rain finally stopped and they did an encore with "Push It" and "Get to the Gone".

Saw John Fogerty and John Mellencamp from the 4th row last night and it was a fantastic show by both. I felt bad for the lawn crowd as they got the wrong end of a torrential downpour during Fogerty's set. During "Bad Moon Rising" the crowd roared when he sang the "Looks like we're in for nasty weather" lyric
As for other shows, I will probably see Green Day August 24th and possibly Coldplay (although they are charging too much IMO). The Rolling Stones are rumored to be playing at Duke University's football stadium October 8th so if that comes to fruition I will definitely see them again (previously saw them in 94). I really hope Audioslave makes it down this way when they announce their fall tour dates.

I saw Ben Folds and Weezer @ Savvis Center on Friday night.
Second time I have seen Ben Folds - he was alright, but the sound system wasn't as nice to him as it was to Weezer. His show was much, much better at the Fox last year (of course) - longer set, better sound, he played by himself, etc.
Weezer was excellent (it was the first time I have seen them) - I just wish they would have played a little longer.

From: You might catch me in Atlanta, looking like a boss
Saw John Legend/Common/De La Soul last night in Detroit. De La's set was too short (for me, a De La fan for 16-17 years now). Common simply ripped it. Legend was hurt by the horrid sound system. Best of all, I met Pos from De La hanging out in the lobby

I know, but I was looking forward to this show alot, oh well - I couldn't tell if the 9:30 Club show was cancelled due to poor ticket sales or what, since the NYC show wasn't cancelled.

I'm going to see Rufus Wainwright and Ben Folds tonight. I could care less about the former (I much prefer his dad's music), but am really excited to see the latter.
