Going to Ozzfest, probably Sounds Of The Underground too if I can get comped (looking good). Also have tix for Deep Purple in Atlantic City. But the big one is the Emissions From The Monolith festival this coming weekend in Youngstown, Ohio. Best festival on the planet, no discussion needed.

Built To Spill was money well spent - that was guitar rock at its finest. Their set was a little over ninety minutes - wish it would have been longer, but was happy none the less.

Mike Johnson sounds like he has spent a lot of time around J Mascis and Doug Martsch.

Nothing right now. Wichita really isn't the big music scene.

They play about 5 or 6 songs from American Idiot and then play most of their hits from all their albums. Some covers. Bring people from the crowd up on stage. Sing We are the Champions and end with a solo Time of your life. Awsome show!

Tonight will mark the 5th show I've seen in 9 days. I know I'll never see so many in such a short period of time again, and especially ones that kicked so much ass.

Saturday - Trail of Dead, International Noise Conspiracy
Monday - Nine Inch Nails, The Dresden Dolls
Tuesday - Nine Inch Nails, The Dresden Dolls
Thursday - Headphones
Sunday - Pinback, Transfer

That's basically the conclusion I came to. I've seen them twice before, and they were two of the best shows I've ever seen, but I couldn't justify spending that much money to see them again at a larger venue where I would probably have crappier seats.

Only saw one other person post that they were going, but the Stevie Nicks/Don Henley show was amazing. I wish I could catch every night of this tour. Some great duets, some great Mac Tunes, Eagles tunes, some surprises, and most of their solo hits.

just saw it on saturday night too (guess i was the other poster lol). very good show if you are a fan of either or both artists (as i am!) nice mix of solo and group (eagles/fm) hits. they really sounded good together. certainly one of the better double bills of the summer.

Just found out that Sigur Ros is having a mini-tour in Europe before the new album rolls out in September. I'm gonna try and catch them in Amsterdam in July.
