Will Smith confirms that he'll tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff.

After surprising fans by appearing on a remix of Bomba Estereo's "Fiesta" last month, Smith told Zane Lowe he's been back in the studio and plans to tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, Smith confirmed that he'll be heading on the road with Jeff, who he recorded five albums with between 1987 and 1993.

"I never actually had a chance to go on tour, so I really want to get out there and do it for real," Smith tells DeGeneres.

The Concussion star says his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air schedule prevented him from touring with Jeff at the time, so he hopes to "do it for real" now. "In that time we just we were getting started and I never actually had a chance to go on tour," Smith says, "so I really want to get out there."

Smith also told DeGeneres that the upcoming tour will feature a combination of old hits and new music. "I keep a stash," Smith says.

Jeff spoke with EW in October and echoed Smith's desire hit the road together. "Will has been my partner for 30-something years," Jeff said. "I've been waiting for him just to say, 'Let's go.'"

Re: Will Smith - Music Discussion Thread

I like old, very old school Will Smith. He peaked at "Parents Just Don't Understand" and "Nightmare On My Street" in my opinion.

I actually bought the PJDU single on a 45 when it first came out and I still have it. That first half of that song was literally my day-to-day life with my parents at the time.

And Nightmare is one of the best unauthorized movie related songs of all time. It was so good it seemed official.

"Summertime" and "Men In Black" I can take or leave. Bring back Jazzy Jeff!

Song awkwardly goes from the family buying discount clothes to owning a Porsche. Only the first half was relatable.

Yeah. That was why I said the first half. The second half is good comedy though...and wishful thinking for my teenage self at that time.

But yeah...it is a pretty awkward transition. I always kind of viewed the second half as teenage fantasy more than reality but I guess he was channeling that whole Fresh Prince vibe. But wasn't that song way before the TV show? I have no idea because I never watched the show.

It looks like Will's career has sunk to a new low.

The guy is almost 60. The fact that he even still has shows that people go to is more than most artists his age can say.

But they didn't go...hence the AI fans.

But seriously...he seems to be wanting so badly to be a rapper again, but he is definitely stinky.

You can see it's AI from this screengrab I just got took from that video. Look at the faces. That's just the most obvious but the video is filled with them.

I just checked and Will Smith's net worth is 350 million.

Why anyone at his age would want to do anything but fuck off at his mansion doing whatever he wanted for the rest of his life is beyond me.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Do you think AI would create a loyal fan of the Pi Stonehenge Yankees?
Do you doubt a woman with four broken fingers would be holding up a cardboard sign for the whole show?

Take a look at these two pics. There's no doubt it's AI. The second tweet shows the guy looking at the back of his sign.

Maybe the guy found something really interesting in the back of that sign?
Now whose hands are holding that sign up? That's a little harder to explain.

Re: Will Smith - Music Discussion Thread

But seriously, is it possible that Will's team used AI to punch up the video or sharpen the images, not realizing the monstrosities and chimeras they were creating instead?

You'd think he would know better, since him eating spaghetti was/is one of the most famous AI videos and he has acknowledged it.

Re: Will Smith - Music Discussion Thread

The people in the crowd are not AI generated. I know for a fact that after the show Will Smith slapped each and every one of them.
