Good news for some, bad news for others- I read somewheres that we might possibly see a dual disc treatment on this release as well....

From what Ive seen, The LE of the album will have a dual disc on the acoustic album. Should have a 5.1 of the acoustic album, along with extra material.

Also, the LE version should have an extra track on the rock disc.
It will be Great.

btw Rich, your in for a treat. They are the most rocking live band out there.
I envy you, and the fact that your GF digs them. hehe

Yeah, as mentioned, Dual disc as in CD version on one side, 5.1 surround/hi-res/extras on the other.

I hope this is good. I haven't liked anything they've done since "Colour and the Shape".

Great album, but I think you are missing out. 1x1 is an incredible album and I love TINLTL as well. Frankly, I think Dave Grohl just doesn't write bad songs.

TINLTL is a great album. Mostly middle of the road songs, not super slow, not really fast, with a few exceptions. But the middle of the road songs are Great songs! Aurora is one of Daves Favorites and its an awesome song. One of my favs as well. They are all just top on that album.

1x1 is awesome as well.

Its hard to compare with TCATS but its also one of the best total albums of all time.

So far the 3 songs ive heard from IYH are all freakin great songs!

I noticed one song on the new album is called 'friend of a friend'. Anyone know if this is the same one that was released on Dave's "pocketwatch" album?

Anyone have more info on the Dual Disc? I read somewhere that on the DVD side of the heavy disc it's going to be a 'making of' video, and on the DVD of the slow side it's in 5.1 surround.

Just listened to the entire thing. I'm suprised to say that I like the acoustic side alot more. But it's cool that the rock side leans more towards TCATS than 1x1. I'll definitley be buying this one.

Played it on my radio show tonight. All of the calls were positive.

And, yes, I like the acoustic side slightly better too. However, they're BOTH great discs.

I LOVE the heavy side of this album. Might be the most complete album they have released since their first.

it is blowing my mind. I'd love to find out what the dual disc will have on it...especially since the list price on it is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than the CD...like almost triple the cost...

Couldn't disagree more. I feel it's their weakest effort. I wish they put more time into 12 solid songs rather than 20 subpar ones. 3 and 4 are the only tracks I really dig on D1.

Oh well, thank the lord there's the first two.

For such a large collection of songs, i'd say it does a suprisingly good job of being consistant through-out. Too bad it's just consistantly good and not consistantly great.

I'm still happy with it though.

BB updated price;

$11.99 for album
$27.99 for DD limited edition

This is a bunch of Bull-Shit!... Damn-it, I want 5.1!, but a bit cheaper. The Limited one better have a T-Shirt and poster or something like that.
