U2 iPod + The Complete U2
I can't believe this isn't up here yet, and I did a search and didn't see it, so if this is a repost I apologize.
A new U2 edition iPod is being released

http://www.apple.com/ipod/u2/
Also iTunes is going to sell "The Complete U2", 400 songs for $150. If you buy the U2 iPod, which is $50 more than its non-U2 counterpart, then you get $50 off the purchase of "The Complete U2".
The iPod looks pretty sweet, but I have been addimently fighting getting an iPod just because they are so much more expensive than the Creative Labs version... about $50 if I recall correctly... but throw U2 in the mix, and to be honest I have seriously been considering paying even more for the friggin thing! And that Bose Sounddock is pretty sweet too... Early Christmas anyone!?!
Does the iPod really work that much better than the Nomad? I mean, is it easier to make playlists, search for songs, etc... can I import .mp3s to it, or do they have to be converted to iTunes? How about .wmv files? I'm basically looking for an excuse here, but be honest. If the iPod is worth the extra money over the Nomad, then I may go for it... if not...
Thanks!

I shelled $400 for the 3G 40 gig iPod and I use it on a daily basis. Dropped it a lot and it's still kicking. I have almost 6000 songs on it. I love my iPod. I've used other players and none are as easy as the iPod. It imports CDs and MP3's but it converts them to MP4. You can make playlists and burn them to CD and then convert the CDs to MP3 if you want to have the MP3s, but if you have the iPod, then there's no need. It's very easy to make playlists and use, and it's extremely flexible. I love mine.

I honestly think all the mp3 players are pretty equal in terms of sound quality. The interface and looks are the main differences.
I went with a Dell DJ as they have good deals on them fairly often, and I'm totally satisfied with my purchase.

The IRiver is way better than the IPod.
It's got all of the same features (no software needed, ect.), plus a built in voice recorder, FM tuner, comes with a case, and the new version has a color screen for considerably less.
I have last years IRiver and I LOVE it. And my roommate has an IPod, so I've gotten time with both.

i keep it simple and small with the rio karma.
i don't need to watch video and look at photos on my mp3 player.
