I guess that's why artists like Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Steven Tyler, David Bowie, etc., etc., etc. have said they would not even be in the music industry today were it not for that historic Ed Sullivan show on Feb. 9, 1964.
Yeah but see people don't want to hear things like that in this thread......they want you to agree with them and their view that "the Beatles were a boy band".

I don't mean to bump this thread to the top again but some of the comments in this pit have me laughing my ass off.

You may not appreciate The Beatles so much now because of time but they broke brand new ground when they hit and they are legends. Also, their music still holds up more than well today IMO.

My only advice to the original poster is to listen to ALL of their songs and then make a decision (but even then, if you still think they're a boy band .....................you have serious problems).

The thread title reminded me of the shirt I saw at a Beatlefest which had a pic of the boys playing the Cavern Club and it was captioned First Kids on the Block.

I'd align myself with Rivero. The only thing I'd add is a picture of the MMT album cover within his post above.

If they did that to prisoners at Gitmo, they'd be violating the Geneva conventions. I don't have to eat a spoonful of crap to realize that I don't like it.

</small>.... and, now it seems that the time for constructive debate has passed, I know a good way to obviate any kind of administrative action.
