I was hooked on "I saw the sign" when it came out - haven't listened to that in years.

Lame cover of the sign by my band. I loved this song.

Beautiful Life, anyone? I remember blasting this while driving with my windows down and smoking on a hot summer day... don't worry, that was when I was an obnoxious youth! *hee*

Remember Ace of Base?
I try not to. They had some of the most annoying songs on the radio in the early 90's. Just thinking of that sign song makes me cringe.

I was just reminded of them when they talked about them on I Love the 90s. I never noticed that they only had one kind of beat but it's so true.

I never heard the band, but man do I remember them. There was this annoying TV promo for a radio station than ran ALL the time. It featured a announcer who sounded like like Gilbert Godfried, but a LOT more screechy who was running down the list of bands this station played, with a shocked tone to his voice.

The last one in the line up was "Aheeyc of Bahace"! I swear to god, every time I heard that spot, I wanted to pour a gallong of sulphuric acid on my nutsack to ease the throbbing in my head.

For some reason, I seem to come across used copies of "The Sign" more than any other CD, whenever I shop for used CDs. Hmmm.

Damn successful they were though. Sign of the times. Thought this world was gonna perish ... but alas we made it through despite them.

Scandinavian one-beat baritone-rap nonsense black hole of a music. I think I am going to go chew on some ice now.

My day is ruined.

Whenever they come on the radio, I have to listen for at least a couple minutes to figure out which song it is. They all sound alike!
