What songs did you rollerskate to as a kid/teen?

All I ever remember hearing at the rink in the mid 80's was "I Love Rock & Roll" by Joan Jett and the Black Hearts and "Pop Music" by M.

What about y'all?

My local skating rink had a very limited selection of music to play. This was in the mid 90's. They played YMCA, The Chicken Dance, Macarena and all those silly party songs, along with all the pop/dance songs that were on the radio at the time... like Rhythm of the Night and that one song that goes "Baby don't hurt me, baby don't hurt me no more" (may be the same song). Those were the good old days, but that skating rink has now been turned into a funeral home.

Great, now I've got "Baby don't hurt me no more" stuck in my head. Thanks!

Without looking at who started this thread, I thought it was a resurrected Danol thread.

I think I'm older. I remember "I Go Crazy" (by I don't know who), "Big Boys Don't Cry" (also by who knows, and maybe not the title but they kept saying that) and a song that went "Play that Funky Music White Boy" by I think Wild Cherry. Also, lots of songs by America.

I'm 27, but I guess that's old to some of the members here...

Fight For Your Right To Party
Push It (They played this song CONSTANTLY)
Axel F (From Beverly Hills Cop)
Miami Vice Theme

Just to name a few "Skatin' Station" memories...
