Listening to Floyd's Echoes...

There are some bizzare choices on this "greatest hits" set. Anyone else think so?

maybe the fact that there are acutally post watters numbers on there, and that 2 of the longer songs are shortened. (shine on you crazy diamond, they forgot pt 8 and 9) and Echos is only 13 minutes/

Floyd made concept albums, and terrific ones. The fact that a Pink Floyd "Greatest Hits" even exists is preposterous.

i agree. i mean, they had some great songs that were more easy to access and more popular than others, but everything with them blends so well together. i havent heard the gh, but i'd assume it would sound out. like out of place or something. first time i listened to dark side of the moon, i wasn't much impressed except for a few songs. i wanted a more heavy rock sound, with more songs like money. then on a car trip i put DSOTM on, closed my eyes and started tripping out. wasn't on anything either. the music was just so amazing. like YOU FEEL IT. it was crazy. been a huge fan since.

im sorta opposite with RADIOHEAD. their music doesn't do much for me at all, but when i saw them live it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

I would have liked for Brain Damage and Run Like Hell to have been included. I agere to an extent with Rivero, but since they did put out a GH, presumably to be more "accessible" to causal fans, they should have included more of the "known" tracks.

I didn't understand why Pigs (Three Different Ones) was excluded.

i would have liked "us and them" or "great gig in the sky" cut and instead have put "brain damage" and "eclipse" back to back to close out the album
