The Crystal Method live?

Has anyone see Crystal Method in concert? They're playing in Boston next week, and I'm trying to decide whether to go or not.

I'm mostly a old-time rocker and not much into techno (actually, I hate a good portion of it). But I do really like Crystal Method for some reason, especially the 'Vegas' CD.

Just wondering if they tour with a band, or will it be just two guys up there with turntables?

That's about the extent of it. It's not abour watching the performers, it's all about having a good time. I saw them on their "Tweekend" tour a couple of years back. Pretty good show, but I was also used to the traditional rock format, so it took some getting used to. YMMV.

CM puts on an ok show, but they are on the cheesy side of dance music (breaks in this case). Living in Boston, there are probably a handful of better shows going on every single night. Also, their show is not spinning records, it is a live PA. Expect a sick amount of bass. I've seen them a few times, but wouldn't rank it close to some other shows I've seen. I'm really not trying to discourage you, but there's alot better out there.

I saw them opening for STP a few years back in Austin. It was an outside festival and they went on during the day. Music was good but I would have been 1000 times better at a club.

Been to a few Crystal Method shows. Over all good and I enjoyed it. It's not your typical rock concert.
