Capo on the second fret....
I have a question for you guitar players on the forum.
I was playing my Martin tonight with a capo on the second fret
and worked my way through Dylan's I Shall Be Released, CSN's Just A Song Before I Go, The Beatles' In My Life and finally Norwegian Wood.
My question is ... can you suggest some other classics that are played with a capo in this postion?

Why the attraction to the second fret?

Speaking of capos...
I had heard one should capo 12 string guitars to avoid access pressure on the neck. You have to tune it down then use the capo.
Has anyone else heard this?

Any particular reason you favour this fret? I mean there are millions of songs in all positions with capos, without capos, and any of them can be played how you like - essentially.

"September Gurls" by Big Star. No one better dispute this as a classic.
There must be tons of others, but I'm drawing a blank right now.
Thought of another one: "Thrasher" by Neil Young.
