Capo on the second fret....

I have a question for you guitar players on the forum.

I was playing my Martin tonight with a capo on the second fret
and worked my way through Dylan's I Shall Be Released, CSN's Just A Song Before I Go, The Beatles' In My Life and finally Norwegian Wood.

My question is ... can you suggest some other classics that are played with a capo in this postion?

Any particular reason you favour this fret? I mean there are millions of songs in all positions with capos, without capos, and any of them can be played how you like - essentially.

Why the attraction to the second fret?

Speaking of capos...

I had heard one should capo 12 string guitars to avoid access pressure on the neck. You have to tune it down then use the capo.

Has anyone else heard this?

That's a good question. Mostly I liked the way that the songs seemed to flow together without stopping to change or remove the capo. Not quite a medley but close. They seemed to fit well together being from the same time period and as you strummed the last chord of one song you could move directly into the first of the next one. It was fun and just felt right. I'd like to add some more similar songs but am not sure where to go from here.

"Wonderwall" by Oasis, although its classic status might be disputed.

"September Gurls" by Big Star. No one better dispute this as a classic.

There must be tons of others, but I'm drawing a blank right now.

Thought of another one: "Thrasher" by Neil Young.
