This list is no good

Where is Good Charlotte ??

"Live" is probably the worst name for a band I've ever heard. The first time I saw one of their CD covers I thought it was a live album by some other artist. Dude, let's go see Live play live.

50 bands, and they couldn't find space for Uriah Heep?? Or Krokus?!?

And I agree, Live doesn't belong on the list...

Holy forum necromancy.

Glad to see ICP at the top, I can't stand them. Hate to see parents bringing their kids into my store to buy their records.

I had the 'pleasure' of hearing my first two ICP songs last week on XMLM. Apart from being the rap/rock crap that I hate anyway, one of them was wittily entitled F* the World. Its cutting edge lyrics were basically F* this, F* that, F* you, we say F* 89 times in this song [really]. They got one out of me, that is, WTF?
I listen to some rude, crude music, some of which includes those words [Sex Pistols' Bodies, and SOD's What's That Noise for a couple]. This to me was a waste of the bandwidth, and more Marilyn Manson-like attention whoring.

I'm not a huge *fan* of any of the bands on the list, but the only ones I would out on a Bottom 50 list would be:

1. Insane Clown Posse

8. Vanilla Ice

Most of them might fall solidly on a 'Top One-Hit Wonders' list, which this isn't, and some of them certainly are not 'rock and roll', but when you consider the type of music they make, almost all of them has some validity/redeeming feature to fit their genre.
I'd agree, adding Milli Vanilli to the list. Not so much for the music, but, like Vanilla Ice, they way they disrespected music.

I didn't think Toad the wet sprocket or oingo boingo needed to be on the list.

I know I may get slammed for this, but I LOVE Howard Jones so I have to disagree on that one. I kinda like the Goo Goo Dolls, too. And while I'm not a fan of the Doors, I don't think they belong on the list, either.

Hold up! Let me read the list again. Toad the Wet Sprocket is on there?!??? What insane f* made up this list?

Needless to say TtWS is my favorite band, ever.

The Doors don't belong on the list though Morrison was an ass and I enjoy early Kansas and Fogelberg.

Do they give an explanation for each band? I'd like to know why the Doors (one of my favorite groups) are on there.

Canis Firebrand 11-15-04 12:51 PM

Only 2 I truly like on the list.

34. Live

35. Paul Oakenfold

A few others that have some songs I like, but doesn't bother me they are on the list.

Captain Pike 11-15-04 02:22 PM

I'd remove The Doors and put Dave Mathews on the list.
