I'm guessing they think that all rap/hip hop has to be about bitches, hoes, rappers mothers, wives, pop stars, or "the street"...-rolleyes- Their choice for ADs Worst CD cements their stupidity.

I guess Oingo Boingo is the only one on there that made me scratch my head. Just look at the photo of ICP in that mag and it's instantly recognized why those goofs are #1. I think a list like this is pretty easy to make up... they could have kept going to a top 200. I can remember wondering why the hell my friends were listening to Spin Doctors and Blind Melon. I'm still very confused about it!

Didn't Insane Clown Posse threaten to kick the ass of/kill a SPIN writer who dared to criticize them? Blender should be watching its back...the wrath of the juggalos has been incurred.

Yeah, most of those bands/"artists" suck, and everybody knows they suck. What was really the point of this list?

I will take some exception to Primus, Arrested Development, Live and Toad being on the list. They're not great bands, but worst of all time? Not by a long shot. The Doors, however, should be in the top 5.

The Alan Parsons Project did some of the best prog rock from the late 70's to mid 80's, how they can be on there is unbeliavable. Hey Blender magazine, **** off.

I am not trying to start a flamewar, but is there anyone here who likes Creed? Whether or not they have talent [although I think Scott is a good vocalist and Mark is a good guitarist] I find their songs much more memorable and meaningful than whoever is "supposed" to be good. Lullaby, With Arms Wide Open, Higher, Don't Stop Dancing, Hide, My Sacrifice, One Last Breath, My Own Prison, all their singles are fun songs with good lyrics [even if they have some cliches] and some of them are much better love songs than what the industry passes off as loving music..

Other than that, I think they have their moments. It's kind of surprising for me to like a modern band, since I'd take Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Led Zepplin, U2, etc over a new band anyday..but I actually like Creed, and as for the Pearl Jam comparison..I find Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder [spelling error?] to be a weaker singer, and the music is just not as....I don't know..I don't feel it enough...Creed seems more sincere...somehow.

I guess it's easy to feel that all their songs are sincere, since they all sound the same.

Nothing will get people :mad: faster than these stupid, random and 100% subjective 'best/worst' lists... :lol:

Tru dat. Gotta give Source magazine props though. They recently did a Top 115 Artists 1988-2003 list, but they DIDN'T number them! They just presented a random list with the preface below. Of course, they were probably upset that they'd start shooting each other [a la East Coast vs West Coast]..

Glad some people out there are coming to grips with how insanely overrated those pretentious hacks The Doors were. They sound really deep and intense when you're 18 I suppose but listen to them again when you're 30. If overwrought drek like "Light My Fire" and "Touch Me" don't make you want to hurl, I can't help you. (IMHO as always :D )

My one problem with the list is including Tin Machine, which admittedly wasn't Bowie's finest hour, but I still somewhat enjoy their first CD. Has a few good moments. And even subpar Bowie is better than many.

I dig Creed. I think its crap all the BS that they get. But Stapp has done his part to add to the problem. Still I thikn they are far better then a lot of the stuff out there.

I think this list is peppered with stuff just to get attention. Plus its done by a new generation that just does not get the same things from music that the old gen does.

Still this list seems extra lame. Doors, ELP, Kansas and Creed? -rolleyes-

You have to admit that the blurb about Creed was pretty funny though. I don't have the magazine, so I have to ham-handedly paraphrase it, but it said something like..."There has never been a more annoying site in a music video than Scott Stapp singing in a crusifixion pose while a wind machine blows his hair in the opposite direction." I'm usually not one for the Maxim/FHM type of humor, but I though that this was pretty good.
