Disappointing Counting Crows
Ok, after years of downloading their live performances and trading their bootlegs, I finally went to their concert. While I was impressed with John Mayer, I couldn't help but be more than disappointed by the Counting Crows. It almost feels like they've lost their passion for ther songs and are just going through the motions. This sucks, I've missed out on a great band's great years....

I agree with you. It seems like the sweaty shoeless one was just going through the motions. The number of people up on stage rivals that of John Mellencamp.
I too was impressed with John Mayer. Which is good since I was there to see him. Seeing Counting Crows was just gravy.

I use to really like the counting crows, right when the come out. However, the last few times I've seen them I've found them more themn disappointing. Talk about a boring concert now..

A friend of mine saw them in Philly last year, said the show was amazing. They have been on tour now for 'Hard Candy' for over a year, I think they are probably depleted...One of my top three favorite bands, but I have never really had an urge to see them. They still make beautiful, powerful music....wish more people still cared and bought their stuff (though I was surprised to see HC had 600,000 sold)...

When is the last time Counting Crows toured and was the sole headliner? They've been doing this co-headlining crap for years now. Just means that the fans get a shorter set.

I'd rather see two bands I like play for an hour and a half, than see a usually lame opening band for 30-45 mins and then the main band for 2+ hours.
I passed on this tour though, as I don't like John Mayer that well.
It was awesome when they toured with Live a couple years ago. Both bands were outstanding at the show I went to.

I saw them in Houston in May with John Mayer. This is the third time I've seen them. I really enjoyed their performance. Adam was having a great time. Maybe later on in the tour they got tired from the summer heat.
