I would suggest the early...early Firesign Theater CD's.
Lots of fun, and after repeated listenings, you "hear" more things in them. The dialogue is infectious, you will find yourself having fun "repeating it" !

"Waiting for the Electrician or Someone Like Him"
"How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?"
"Don't Crush that Dwarf, Hand me the pliers"
What inspired weirdness and lunacy. I'm not even going to try to guess what could inspire such weirdness and lunacy, but there it is.

Okay, i am looking to buy some more cds that I can listen to in the car and I already listened to the good ones I have.
i am looking for the edgy stand-up comics like Robert Shimmel, Dave Atell, David Cross etc...I have their cds, but can you reccommend anyone else? Thanks....

edit: oh yeah... almost forgot. Our newest favorite is Dane Cook. He's hilarious. Also might want to check out Neil Hamburger.

I think Mitch Hedberg's CD is definitely worth listening to. I like it a lot but its getting kind of old because some of my friends recite the damn thing 24/7.

Also check out George Lopez. I think he is from Los Angeles, but here in San Antonio, his humor about hispanics and latinos is hilarious.

I forgot about Weird Al. He's got a lot of great cd's. Running With Scissors & his new one: Poodle Hat are his most recent and I think his best. He's definitley worth a look.
