Spineshank does a cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". It's all right if you like nu-metal.

Wow, i can't believe i have one that hasn't been brought up yet...

Elliott Smith - 'Because' (American Beauty soundtrack)...it's all vocals, i don't think there are any instruments. He's extremely influenced by the beatles so it's possible he's got other covers that are out there.

Marilyn Manson covers Working Class Hero. I think it's pretty good too. There's a strawberry fields cover also but it's live.

YOU HAVE GOT TO HEAR JOHN PIZZARELLI!!! He did a whole album with covers of all of the Beatles' works. IMO, he is one of the best jazz artists of our time. Anyway, I reeally like his version of "Get Back" and ESPECIALLY "When I'm 64". His band is called the John Pizzarelli Trio. He did all of teh remakes as if The Beatles had never done them. He tried to imagine how different jazz artists would have done them. He is great.

just remembered another one. Elliot Smith did a remake of "Because" that was pretty good. I think his version is what was playing at the end of American Beauty.

the Jimi Hendrix Experience did a cover of Day Tripper that's on the BBC Sessions CD...

There was a whole CD that was all Rubber Soul covers...http://www.amazon.com/This-Bird-Has-...5577928&sr=8-2

ooh and before they got really famous, Gregg and Duane Allman did a cover of Norwegian Wood that was all instrumental with an electric sitar (it was in a band called Hour Glass, if you're interested, I can get it to you)

The Yellow Magic Orchestra cover of "Day Tripper" is pretty hilarious. Yukihiro really seems to be struggling with some of the lyrics but he just plows ahead...
