I just got this yesterday and it's very, very, very good. I am sad that music like this is pretty much ignored for the likes of EITHER of the Simpson sisters and a lot of other crap.

The bonus dvd was finally something more than a waste of a disc too. 3 videos, 3 live performances and a short interview. Then the whole cd and all for like $13.

Nina looks so different with black hair. She's still hot, but if you're Swedish and are born with that face and the blonde hair and beautiful blues eyes to go with it, I say you don't change anything.

Again, if anyone is slightly interested, this is a terrific disc. I have been playing it non stop and it's very good from beginning to end, not just 2 or 3 singles and a lot of crappy filler.

I saw the Cardigans last night at the HOB on Sunset.

Incredible. Simply incredible. Easily stole the show from Liz Phair.

"Long Gone" is an absolutely ace album, not to happy that they are part of tour package, they deserve a full headlining tour by themselves IMO.

Wow...over 1 year and four months later, people in the US have finally started hearing this album!

I love the "new" album, having heard it when it first was released in europe. The reviews I've read have been very mixed, and people I've talked to have also been on either side.

I just find it a good chill album. It, in my mind, is similar to Coldplay's Parachutes in tone and flavor. Very laid back, very relaxing.

I also love Nina's lyrics.

Let me ask how did she sound? Everytime I see video of their performances live she doesn't sound very good.

I think Communication is a very good song. Hard to believe that this is the same group that did Lovefool.

Her voice was good, but thin. She's actually not that great a singer. But she was in high spirits - so she gets the official "David Byrne Vocal Pass."

True-dat.

I often find with all my records, I just latch onto one song and become obsessed about it for a while, then I discover another hidden jem in the record that I love. Right now it would have to be "And Then You Kissed Me." The lyrics immediately made me think of P.T. Anderson's "Punch-Drunk Love."

In regards to the song "Lovefool"

They last time I saw the Cardigan's perform, I remember Nina saying something to the effect, "yes we know this song is played to death on the radio and we are obliged to sing it, so... here it is" you could sense she has regretted writing this song
