I am the opposite, the lyrics are the most important part for me. That is why my favorite artists are Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Lou Reed and Bruce Springsteen.

I get emotional listening to several Queen songs:

No One But You (Only The Good Die Young)
The Show Must Go On
Innuendo
Save Me
Friends Will Be Friends
Who Wants To Live Forever
These Are The Days Of Our Lives

I like those guys to varying degrees as well, but there has to be something tuneful behind the lyrics or I'm not interested. I can pick up a book of poetry instead. Music is music. Words are words. If both are top-notch, all the better, but to me, composition, sound, singing, instrumentation, and arrangement take precedence to the text.
