New Radicals, Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too.

Yeah, maybe I have, but there's just something about the feel of this album I love.

Every album by the Gourds...Dem's Good Beeble, Stadium Blitzer, Ghosts of Hallelujah, Bolsa de Agua, Shinebox, and Cow Fish Fowl or Pig. The best roots music band in the country...

My Bloody Valentine- Kiss the Eclipse- ultra-rare track off of an early ep of their's that kicks ass. Sounds like a combination of Cocteau Twins and Sonic Youth.

Vaselines: "Son of a Gun"- sort of the earlier Scottish version of the White Stripes.

Super Furry Animals: "She's got Spies"- excellent psychodelic/rangy rock for a great Welsh band. They're pretty famous, and this song is one of my favorites of their's.

Camper van Betthoven: "Good Guys, Bad Guys"- the sound of the Santa Cruz underground circa 1986. Laid back, bohemian good-times music with a political bent.

Sonic Youth: "Tuff Gnarl": the best combination of catchy/noisy I can think of.

The La's: "Looking Glass"- epic (9 minutes long) Brit-pop psychedelia from one of the great lost talents. Highly recommended.

The song "Melody" (1986) by the Lucy Show is one of my all time fave songs, but it's buried in an album that was buried and by a group that was buried.

Anything by O.A.R.. They aren't as hidden as they used to be, but their name hasn't gotten to everyone yet.

"If I Could Only Remember My Name....David Crosby" Sure, everybody knows Crosby Stills & Nash & Deja Vu, but what about this solo album from 1971 that's just as good? Neil Young, Graham Nash, Joni Mitchell, & most of the Grateful Dead & Jefferson Airplane all play on it.

"Bob Geldof - The Vegetarians of Love" Irish meets Cajun - & yet it works

"Joe Walsh - Barnstorm" between James Gang & "Rocky Mountain Way" I love it & never hear it mentioned

"Crayon - Brick Factory"

Neil Young - "Time Fades Away" & "On The Beach" 2 of his best albums; hidden only because he won't put them on cd

"Latin Playboys" 2 of the guys from Los Lobos along with Mitchell Froom & Tchad Blake. This album broke my speakers.

"Halo Benders" Calvin from Beat Happening & Doug from Built to Spill

"Original Sins - Bethlehem"
